Ranking race

Watch the top 10 rated players reshuffle month by month from 1964 to today. Bar length is the rating; the order is the rank.

Bar length is the rating at the end of that month. These are this site's own values, with the average of professional players set to 1600 each fiscal year, so bar lengths are not meant for comparing across eras. The highlight is the change in order. Before FY1963 only Junisen games are recorded, so the race starts from 1964/4.
Players with a game within about 1 year of each month-end are included. Click a name to open that player's rating page.Method ／ Monthly ranking (table)
